  1. When I got to the studio I had no idea what i wanted to do. I had just gotten out of bed, the creative juice wasn't flowing. So I sat a while and disassembled the Evan's piece. I had it in my mind that i would make an airplane out all the scraps but when I began doing that my interest changed. I thought of scales and the placement of weight. I wanted my creation to be strictly pieces on pieces, no glue, no string, just tension. So I started with the frame and eventually got everything where I thought I wanted it when a cut of the rim fell and the whole structure came down, domino style. It didn't stop me. I put it back together and It happened a second time. I was frustrated, but still learning where I could put things and how I could rest them on one another. During the third reconstruction I felt that my creation had life like features and expressions so in the end i decided that my work had metamorphosized from the work before it. A man trapped and held down by metal and chains became a hybrid, he became a Man-machine.
