So I had no idea what I wanted to do for this project, the bike was already completely taken apart, painted, and glued to random objects. When I got there, there were 2 distinct sculptures and a lot of material left over in a pile. I dismantled the larger sculpture, and decided my goal was to try and use EVERYTHING. I pretty much used every piece of metal I could find, but I discarded much of the rubber pieces. A lot of the sculpture has pieces of metal hanging like wind chimes, so I thought it was more of a musical piece. But then when I was finished, I thought the pieces looked more like a ribcage of an animal, so I changed one of the words to skeletal. In the end, after 2 hours of bending metal rods, my fingers were killing me, my hands were covered in grease, and my clothes were filthy...but I have to say I really liked the project :)
